According to my Goodreads challenge, I read 120 books this year. I may have cheated a little towards the end by reading short stories to hit my target but still, over 100 books wasn’t bad for me considering I hit a slump this summer and struggled to pull myself out of it.
So, out of those 120 books I managed to whittle down the list to 34. That’s 34 books that I rated 5 stars, books that I loved, raved about, and would most definitely read again. Some weren’t even new releases in 2014, but I read them for the first time this year, and that’s why they’re on this list. Anyhoo, without further ado, I give you my top books of 2014!
So there you have it, my favourite reads from this year. What were your favourite books from 2014? What books are you looking forward to reading in 2015? For me, there are a few I am patiently waiting for, but I think my most anticipated book has to be Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens – the chance to get reacquainted with Kellan Kyle, to get in his head has me practically giddy with excitement!
