Ignazio Vitale is not a good man.
I suspect it, the first time I see him, sense the air of danger that surrounds the man. He has a way of commanding attention, of taking control, of knowing what I'm thinking before I even do.
It's alarming and alluring. It's dark and deadly. It's everything I've ever wanted but the last thing I truly need. Obsession.
It doesn't take him long to draw me into his web, charming me into his bed and trapping me in his life, a life I know nothing about until it's too late. He has secrets, secrets I can't fathom, secrets that make it so I can't walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that's both terrifying and thrilling. He's a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.
I want to hate him.
Sometimes, I do.
But it doesn't stop me from loving him, too.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning, I just could not put it down. Seriously. I took this with me everywhere. EVERY WHERE. To the dinner table, on the school run, to work, the loo… I was enthralled with the story, and I was desperate to see where it was going., I was so engrossed that whilst reading at work I hadn’t even realised it was home time. My colleague had to give me a nudge and tell me it was time to go!
Where do I start? I don’t want to give away the plot or spoil the story. I can tell you about Naz though. Naz… Oh my goodness Naz! You know he’s dangerous from the moment Karissa set eyes on him, he even tells her himself that he’s a monster and he can’t be changed or saved.
“I’m not a good man Karissa, and I never will be. So don’t think you can fix me, or that I’ll ever change, because I won’t. I can’t.”
But you love him anyway. even when you hate him, you still love him! Naz – or Ignazio Vitale as he is also known, carries himself as a man in power, not frightened of anything or anyone. He has that aura around him and you can imagine his name would strike fear and respect wherever he goes.
I loved Karissa, she took everything about Naz in her stride. From the prologue I got the impression that she was in fear of Naz, so I was in a reading frenzy trying to find out what had happened to make her feel that way. Although Karissa didn’t ask Naz any questions, I think deep down she knew what sort of person he was. She turned a blind eye and didn’t want to admit to herself what he was involved in and what he could be capable of.
I can’t say that I blame her, I’d be the same! Until the next book, Torture In Her Soul, I leave you with these little gems from Naz…
“If you could read my mind…” he pauses laughing darkly. “You’d be trembling”
I nearly tremble from the insinuation. “What are you thinking?”
He steps around me, stopping behind me, and sweeps my hair back out of the way. A hand grasps my hip, pulling me back to him as he leans down to kiss my neck.
“I’m thinking the only way you could possibly be any more perfect right now” he says against my skin, “would be if I were fucking you so hard the people in the lobby could hear your screams.”
“I love you, too. Promise me you’ll remember that.”
“Good” he says. “Because I’m about to fuck you like I don’t”
