Born into a life of privilege and secrets, Nora Blakely has everything any nineteen-year-old girl could desire. She’s an accomplished pianist, a Texas beauty queen, and on her way to Princeton after high school. She’s perfect…
Leaving behind her million-dollar mansion and Jimmy Choos, she becomes a girl hell-bent on pushing the limits with alcohol, drugs, and meaningless sex.
Then she meets her soulmate. But he doesn’t want her.
When it comes to girls, twenty-five-year-old Leo Tate has one rule: never fall in love. His gym and his brother are all he cares about...until he meets Nora. He resists the pull of their attraction, hung up on their six year age difference.
As they struggle to stay away from each other, secrets will be revealed, tempers will flare, and hearts will be broken.
Welcome to Briarcrest Academy…where sometimes, the best things in life are Very Bad Things.

**** 10 Kick-Ass, Stunning Stars****
BRILLIANT!! This storyline makes your heart-heavy and goes to the deepest part of your soul. It has Gritty-Depth (is this even a word ), Rawness, and a shock of Reality. I did not want this to end, gripping is an understatement. You will constantly be thinking about these characters months down the road. The writing was flawless and the words dripped with such emotion! The author’s delivery of every situation the MCs were faced with was with class and compassion!
Best. Tiramisu. I. Ever. Had.
First novel? Incredible? YES!! One. Of. The. Best. Debut. Novels. Ever. Read.
Meet Nora Blakely, she’s a force to be reckoned with . . . She’s a people watcher, composes lists and a knife thrower. She has a grace about her, young, intelligent, beautiful, strong and weak at the same time. Fear has got the best of her. Her world is a chaotic mess, no matter the luxuries she is graced with. Her Mother is just despicable; her Father might as well be a ghost passing in the night. Nora’s heart is damaged beyond repair. It is made up of meniscal fractures not seen by the eye. Brave, but puts on a good show to the outside world. Any second she will lose complete control, heading for a path of destruction. Broken, fragile, and feeling so unloved. . Is there hope or is the light (what’s left) within her going pitch black before it is too late .
Cue Music: “Brave” and “Gravity” by Sarah Bareilles
If these people only knew the dirty truth about me. How weak I was. How I was dying a little bit every day in small doses. Would they look at me differently?
NORA BLAKELY (Emmy Rossum)
Even after all that has happened to me, I’ve never given up wishing on stars
Leo Tate is Charismatic, a protector, and devastatingly handsome. Leo has a major flaw. Commitment scares the ever-loving hell out of him. Therefore, he refuses to fall in love, for the fear of losing someone instantly. Life for him has not been kind. Leo lost his parents at a young age, in a tragic accident, leaving him to care for his younger brother Sebastian. He’s content with having no attachment to anyone. He makes this vow and puts up steel walls. But fate might intercept the workings of his heart, and mind when he collides with Nora Blakely. His life is never the same, and there’s nothing he can do about it.
It isn’t just angels who have wings. All kinds of beautiful creatures have them. And someday you’re going to fly away from here and leave all this shit behind. You need your own wings

LEO TATE ( Weston Boucher )
Sure, he was older, and possibly dangerous to my heart
If love is the answer, then I’m changing the question
As if she sensed me, her eyes opened and when her green ones found mine, I swear, it felt like someone hit the pause button on the universe, and she was all I could see. Within that suspended piece of time my gaze ate her up, trying to figure out who she was and why she fascinated me. Whatever it was, I felt the crazy urge to comfort her, to smooth her hair out of face and tell her life would get better. I wanted to see her smile again.
Falling for someone can be a lot like playing roulette. You don’t know what will happen when you place that bet, but you take a deep breath anyway and put all the chips out there. And when the ball spins around and around, you pray it lands on your number. Probability says you’ll likely loose, and in the game of love with Leo, odds were I would lose, too but I had to try
Cue Music: “Breathe Again” by Sarah Bareilles
Love does exist, Soul mates exist, but will Leo and Nora believe in it too?
Or is it extinct for them?
