Have you heard about the awesome
ARC August Challenge that Octavia from Read. Sleep. Repeat. is hosting?
You have? Cool!
You’re part of it? Even better, leave me your link in the comments so I can come and visit you!
You haven’t? Where have you BEEN?! Fear not though because there’s still time to sign up, just click the banner above 🙂
I have a HUGE and ever growing pile of ARCs, both physical and ebooks, and, like many other bloggers, I very often feel OVERWHELMED by them! Octavia’s ARC August challenge is ideal for me and it’s come about at just the right time.
In the UK August (well, the last week of July anyway) marks the start of the school holidays. For me that means 3 kids off school for 6 weeks and needing entertaining! It also means that on the days when it’s raining (yeah, that’s what happens a LOT in England in the summertime!) and my kids are busy playing Mummy gets to read. Plus, I can have more late night reading sessions knowing I don’t have to get up quite as early as I do on a school morning. All of those things combined mean that I get more reading done and since I’ll be concentrating on ARCs this month that makes it a win win for me 🙂
Since I am so late in signing up for ARC August I haven’t actually sat down and worked out my list of books to read just yet. I do have 3 that I need to read pretty soon though so I guess I can list those if you’re interested!
I’ll be back to update this list really soon, I promise!
I have bombed, BADLY, with a lot of the challenges I’ve signed up to lately (lots of “personal” things going on) but I am determined to make some sort of dent in my ARC pile so I WILL be sticking with this challenge (and getting Octavia to kick by bum in to gear if I slack!) Wish me luck … and now, since it’s already 1st August and the challenge has started, I’m off to READ!
