The story that began in the USA Today bestseller RELENTLESS continues. Which team are you on?
In Relentless, college student Claire Nixon and surfer Adam Parker each had a painful past too heavy to carry alone. Claire tried to push Adam away, but Adam’s relentless pursuit of her heart and her secrets made her walls come crumbling down.
Though their hearts will never be whole again, Claire and Adam now know they are stronger together than they are apart.
But now Claire’s attending college a hundred miles away from Adam. With their relationship already hanging by a thread, Adam is sent to Hawaii on business.
And rock star Chris Knight is back in Claire’s life.
Chris wants his ex-girlfriend back and he knows just how to get her: only he has the power to mend the final missing piece of Claire’s broken heart. Now Claire must choose between a long-distance relationship with Adam and a second chance at love, family, and home.

Kelly’s Review – TEAM ADAM!
My first thought on Pieces of You are … ARGH! What a MESS! No, I don’t mean the writing or the storyline … I mean Claire’s whole situation!
I love Claire, I do, she’s been through so much, but for me there’s only one clear answer for her and that’s … ADAM!
Pieces of You had me clutching my chest at certain points, one in particular that I definitely can’t talk about! I could actually feel pain as the events unfolded, all the while thinking NOOOO! STOP! As desperate as I was to read it when the ARC landed in my email inbox I was afraid to actually start because I was so afraid of what was coming next and where things would go next. Reading Pieces of You was so hard. I had to do it a few chapters at a time because my nerves couldn’t take it!
I love how I’ve become so involved and invested in Claire’s story and feel like I know what’s best for her. I love how Cassia Leo has completely sucked me in to Claire’s world and made me care so much about what happens next to a fictional character! I absolutely CANNOT WAIT until August for book 3, Bring Me Home. Guess when my birthday is … ? Yep, August! The BEST birthday present EVER!
I really liked the alternating points of view between Claire. Adam and Chris. I got a real feel for everything that everyone was feeling and going through. Adam’s POV was probably my favourite though. I just … LOVE THAT GUY! He did exactly what he thought was best for Claire, unlike someone else who I think is more than a little pushy! Adam’s decisions may not have had the best results but he made them with good intentions.
In my mind Chris made his decision when he left Claire to pursue his music career. She may have been the one who ended it but he still went for the music instead of her. He can’t expect that she wouldn’t have moved on. He should see that she’s moved on and not just charge back in and try to claim what he feels is his. he had his chance and he left. He didn’t choose Claire.
Joanne’s Review – TEAM CHRIS!
When I started reading this book I was most definitely ‘Team Adam’, but now thanks to the brilliance of Cassia Leo I am really conflicited and I am leaning tower of Pisa style towards ‘Team Chris’.
In this book, Claire and Adam are facing an enforced separation as Adam is being sent to Hawaii for a project his father’s firm are working on, and whilst he’s there he plans to compete in a surfing competition. With Adam gone, Chris is there ready to pick up where they left off if Claire will just let him back in.
Claire is very much in love with Adam, but Claire will always have a connection with Chris, much to Adam’s dismay. When Adam leaves for Hawaii, Claire is only just keeping things together, but when a meeting with Abigail’s adoptive parents sends her over the edge things spiral out of control. She calls Adam in her hour of need, and Adam decides this is an ideal moment to tell her they should take a break from each other! Of course, Chris is there to pick up the pieces and Claire leans on the shoulder that he is keen to provide.
I sort of get where Adam was coming from – he thought that he was doing the right thing, that Claire had too much to worry about and if he removed himself from the equation, that would be one less thing – but NO Adam, NO!!! That was so not the way to go, Claire needed you and you broke her heart!
Chris puts his plans on hold to be there for Claire, puts her first, and I love him for that. Its obvious that they share a history, he was her first love, and his was the first home that she felt safe in. I know people think he’s the reason that she’s a mess in the first place, but I think Claire brought a lot of it on herself too. If she had called him as soon as she realised she was pregnant he would have been there for her, and he has suddenly discovered he has a daughter he knew nothing about, and he must be grieving for the fact he will never get to know her.
I think that what Claire has with Adam is too new, she doesn’t really know him. Yes, he makes her laugh, but she has also seen a side to him that made her wary, when she saw him lose his temper and lash out. I do like Adam, don’t get me wrong, he has been caring and patient with Claire, he rescued her when she was at rock bottom and brought her back to life. When they are at his apartment, and she finds the ‘thing’ that he told her he left there for her, I felt heartbroken for him, because he does love her, but on the other hand he has lied to her and up to now hasn’t told her some important information that I think she needs to know.
I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in the next book – especially after that ending – Claire is going to need someone to lean on even more now, but who will that be?
USA Today bestselling author Cassia Leo loves her coffee, chocolate, and margaritas with salt. When she’s not writing, she spends way too much time watching old reruns of Friends and Sex and the City. When she’s not watching reruns, she’s usually enjoying the California sunshine or reading–sometimes both.
