To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

Fallen Too Far had me falling too hard for Rush

19 year old Blaire Wynn’s life hasn’t been easy. By the start of the book she’s lost her twin sister and her mum and it’s been 5 years since her dad walked out. Now he’s the only one who she can ask for help when she’s left alone in the world. So she drives the 500 miles from Alabama to Florida only to find that he couldn’t care less and not only is he not there when she arrives but he’s not even in the same country. Instead she finds Rush, her step-brother, and all-round arrogant douche, who is less than welcoming to her. Her plan, her only option now, is to stay with her dad until she makes some money to take care of herself. With him not being there and Rush being so unwelcoming that plan’s now ruined. So why is Blaire immediately attracted to Rush? Why can’t she get him out of her head? And just what is it that’s stopping him from getting close to her and acting the way he is towards her?

“I swung my gaze from the curious people to see who this Rush was.
Oh. My.”
Blaire –  Kindle Loc 262 – Fallen Too Far

Blaire is a sweet, innocent girl who’s been through so much. She’s naive to the new world of money that she finds herself in, but she’s also a tough cookie who’s used to taking care of herself. Now she deserves someone to love her and look after her with all that she’s been through.

Rush is the son of a rock star. He has money, influence and above all else experience, lots of experience, with lots of different women. He uses women and spits them out. But Blaire, well, she affects him and he’s made it his mission to stay away from her. He knows she’s different from his other women and plus, he knows something she doesn’t, something he’s not about to share with her, so getting close to her would be a bad, bad idea.

“I can’t touch you. I want to so damn bad it hurts like a motherf***er but I can’t. I won’t mess you up. You’re… you’re perfect and untouched. And in the end you would never forgive me.”
Rush – Kindle Loc 2114 – Fallen Too Far

So, what did I think of Fallen Too Far? I absolutely LOVED it! Wow, just WOW! Abbi Glines is one of those authors who’s books you can just pick up and know you’re going to love. Her female characters are sweet, her male characters are sexy and *those* sorts of scenes are just H.O.T!

That sweet little body of yours feels too incredible tucked underneath me … and the way you taste. It’s addictive. I dream about it. I fantasise about it. I know you’ll be just as delicious in… other… places.”
Rush – Kindle Loc 2146 – Fallen Too Far

I loved Blaire. She was the kind of girl you just want to be friends with. She’s good hearted, sweet and doesn’t complain even though she’s been through some rough cr*p in her life. The way she is beyond grateful to be living under the stairs, a la Harry Potter, just sums her up. It’s a bed that she needs and she’ll take it.

To begin with I hated Rush but I think that’s kinda the idea. he’s cocky, arrogant, and cruel. He has the looks and money to get his way whenever he wants it. Meeting Blaire knocks him for six and suddenly he wants more in life. He wants HER. By the end of Fallen Too Far I had fallen for Rush. He was just too sweet.

Fallen Too Far has a great cast of supporting characters. Grant and Bethy were my favourites. Even though I knew this was Blaire and Rush’s story I was rooting for Blaire and Grant right at the start. Woods was also a sweet guy, one I wasn’t too sure of at first, but one who was there for Blaire when she needed him. Bethy was just hilarious and she was the perfect friend for Blaire. Georgianna, Nan, Laney and Abe were all just awful, the real bad guys of the story. I just couldn’t like them, but that was the point.

The last 15% was just heart-breaking to read. I wanted to reach in a hug Blaire so hard. And Rush? The poor guy was devastated by the events of this final part. I was definitely surprised by the ending. While I knew before the final chapter that things were going to be hard to wrap up so soon I never expected a cliff-hanger ending and another story! March 2013 cannot come soon enough for me to read Never Too Far!

So, after I’ve rambled on, all that’s left for me to say is … READ THIS BOOK!
