November Round-Up and December Reading List

December 3, 2012 Me!, Round-Up 4

Hi everyone! So it’s December already, huh?! I cannot believe we’re almost to the end of another year already! And now that it’s December my blog is 6 months old! I started out on 5th June so in 2 days time my baby is half a year old! Yay! I have been soooo busy with life in general recently that I never got anything planned to celebrate but I am going to have a giveaway really soon so keep a look out for it πŸ™‚

What happened in November:

Well… not a lot actually! I didn’t read all of the books that I wanted to read so I still need to get to those, but I did read a couple that weren’t scheduled for November that I really enjoyed. Look out for my review of I Love You to Death by Natalie Ward coming in December.

I didn’t end up taking part in the Book Twirps’ read-along for Alice in Zombieland. I just had so much going on that I never got around to picking it up again after the first couple of pages I read. Hoping to read it in the new year after the mad Christmas rush that I am experiencing right now. It’s hard work preparing for Christmas with 3 excited kids!

I stacked my shelves with an absolute ton of books in November but only managed one Stacking the Shelves post to show you some of them. Here’s that post for a reminder … STS 11 November.

I read 5 books for the Series Catch-Up challenge. Some reviews have been posted, some still to come.

I read:

Futures and Frosting by Tara Sivec

Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Derailed by Alyssa Rose Ivy

I Love You to Death by Natalie Ward

Re-read The Sea of Tranquility by Katja MillayΒ which was picked up by Simon & Schuster (Atria) in November. So happy about this! Go read it if you haven’t! So many readers are just discovering TSoT since S&S picked it up and that makes me sooooo happy!

I started:

Silence by Becca FitzpatrickΒ but put it to one side because it didn’t grab me like the others did. I’m hoping to try again with it this month.

What’s Happening in December:

I have a few tour stops this month. Today – 3rd December – I have a review and giveaway stop for Derailed by Alyssa Rose Ivy. Tomorrow – 4th December – I have a review and giveaway for Hollywood Holiday by Sasha Summers. On 12th December I have a guest post and review for Troubles and Treats by Tara Sivec. And on 19th December I have a review of A Song for Julia and an interview with the author Charles Sheehan Miles. Be sure to stop by and check them all out πŸ™‚

I’m still working through my series books for the Series Catch-Up challenge set by Brittany at The Book Addict’s Guide. If you’d like to sign up you’ll find all the details here.

I’m 11 books behind on my 2012 Goodreads challenge as of today. I really want to get to the target so I am pulling out all the stops to achieve it! If I read all of the books on my list for December and finish the couple that I have started I should be good! Wish me luck πŸ™‚ and you can check my progress on Goodreads.

To read :

Precise by Rebecca Berto

A Song For Julia by Charles Sheehan Miles

Bound Together by Marie Coulson

Troubles and Treats by Tara Sivec

I’m hoping to get back to Silence and finish it so that I can move on to Finale this month too.

I also want to finish up reading Hot Ticket by Olivia Cunning. I LOVE her books!

I didn’t get around to Breathe and Because of Low, both by Abbi Glines, last month so they’re back on my list for December.

And finally, I want to read a few Christmassy books so I have picked out A Toast to the Good Times by Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt, Last Chance Christmas by Hope RamseyΒ and A Merry Little Christmas by Julia Williams.

Isn’t it just?! I first read it for Katja back in September when she self published it and I’m so happy for her that it got picked up, and so soon after releasing it too. When I look on Goodreads and see the thousands of reviews, and marked as ‘to-read’, etc it makes me wanna squeal and it’s not even my book!!

So much to do and so little time! I don’t realllyyyy mean to rub it in but I’m ahead on my Goodreads reading challenge. πŸ˜‰

Good on you for rereading TSoT. I wana do this but will wait so I can reread it as a real paperback book.
