It’s been a while since I shared a teaser of a book I’m reading. My boys went back to school last week so I finally have more time to read and of course share the books I’m loving.

By far one of the best books I’ve read in a while is The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay. You’ll have noticed, especially if you follow me on Twitter and my Facebook page, that I have mentioned it quite a few times lately. I just can’t help cheering for Katja and her book and that’s because it’s just so hard to believe that this is her debut book, it’s just toooo good! I checked with Katja that it would be OK for me to share a larger part that normal for my teaser and being the awesome person she is, she agreed. So here is my teaser for this week, from The Sea of Tranquility.

“I hate my left hand. I hate to look at it. I hate it when it stutters and trembles and reminds me that my identity is gone. But I look at it anyway; because it also reminds me that I’m going to find the boy who took everything from me. I’m going to kill the boy who killed me, and when I kill him, I’m going to do it with my left hand.”

What do you think of the teaser? I think it just grabs your attention and makes you want to know more about what’s happened to the main character, Nastya and why she’s out for revenge. I need to say though that this story is about so much more than that. You just have to read it to find out what. I am absolutely loving reading this book and I can definitely recommend it!

Thanks, Fred, I know you agree, loved your review, but then you already know that!

I actually still have my youngest one home from lunchtime onwards but those couple of hours each morning are magical!
