August 22, 2012 Blog Tour, New Releases 2

Did that get your attention?! I hope so!

So, Rachel Harris, the author of My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century, has a fun promotional campaign going for the upcoming September release of her debut book.

The Flirt Squad is all about helping Rachel get the word out about My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century and the blog tour for it that kicked off this week. It’s really easy to take part, plus there are lots of points to be won and the points equal cool prizes including your name in the acknowledgements of a future Rachel Harris book!

If you fancy taking part go to Rachel’s Flirt Squad page on her website here to find out more and sign yourself up! If you could mention me, Kelly @ Have Book, Will Read, in your email to Rachel that would be a super sweet birthday present to me!

Oh, and by the way, my post for the tour will be on Friday, MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Yay!!!

And finally, if you’ve not been lucky enough to have even heard of the book yet (where have you been?!) then here’s what it’s all about …

On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze

Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore

Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?

This is one of the books I’m really looking forward to in September. Along with the new Ken Follett.

Oh, and have a Happy Birthday. Do you get books? I never do- everyone claims that they don’t know what I’ve already read. (Which is probably true) And my husband and his family believe that gift cards are impersonal. So, I don’t ever get any. The last book related thing I got for a birthday or Christmas was my Nook- about 2 years ago.

      Thank you!
No, I don’t normally get books as gifts That may be a good thing though, at least I know if I buy the book myself it will be something I’ll read! If I’m given cash as a gift (usually happens) I’ll probably use that to get books or Kindle downloads, you can never have enough!
I have a Kindle Touch coming for my birthday. I have a Kindle Keyboard and decided to upgrade.
Ps,,, If you sign up to The Flirt Squad I would love it if you could mention my name to Rachel!
