Today has been day 1 of the Wicked Wildfire Read-a-thon hosted by
I have started off pretty well and got some of Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire read, I haven’t read a lot of it but I’m happy with my progress so far. I tend to do pretty much all of my reading in the evening when my children are in bed as it’s never easy to read in the day and look after them at the same time. Today has been a busy day with a hospital appointment and a nursery visit for my youngest son and then a primary school meeting this evening for my middle son. I’m actually surprised I have managed to find time at all today!
Rebecca at Kindle Fever has set the first challenge of the read-a-thon and the challenge is to answer this question:
“A wildfire is quickly coming your way! What thing/s do you grab when you only have a few minutes to make it out?”
(I’ve saved any people or pets in there already!)
My answer is this:
Ooooh, such a hard decision! Assuming my husband, kids and pets are already safe I think I would grab my Kindle and charger, notebook and pen (always by my side when reading for review), my as yet unread copy of Second Chance Summer (desperate to read it!) and then the essentials – clothes, handbag, purse etc – but if I run out of time I suppose I’d have to cope without those essentials!
How’s your first day of the Wicked Wildfire Read-a-thon going? I’d love to hear.
